This newly acquired Larimer County Open Space is 1,362 acres surrounded by Roosevelt National Forest. It's 2 miles southeast of the town of Estes Park on U.S. Highway 36. Hiking trails, wetlands, horseback riding, mountain biking, picnicking and camping facilities are available. The park is open year round, but some areas close seasonally. Entrance fee: $6. Campsites accommodate up to 8 people for $20/night. Maximum: 14 nights. Some have nice views of Longs Peak and Twin Sisters. Group campsite is $150 / night. For April - October make online reservations or call 800-397-7795. The rest of the year is first-come, first-served in the lower loop of campground 1. Map.
13 camper cabins.
Rustic non-electric camper cabins have 4 padded bunk beds (bring your own linens or sleeping bags), table with benches, covered front porch, propane lights and heat, 2-burner, propane cook stove (bring your own cookware), picnic table, fire grate (bring your own firewood) and port-a-potty for $80 - $100 / night. Minimal water is available, fill your tank before arriving. Two cabins (Blue Bird and Big Gulch) are ADA accessible. Open year-round.

Group pavilion.
For weddings, reunions and gatherings, the covered group pavilion for 300 people has good views, picnic tables, grills, volleyball court. Call (970) 679-4570 for pricing and application.
Regulations.
Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. No collecting firewood, no cutting trees, no firearms or fireworks, no glass containers, no alcohol above 3.2%, no kegs.
